MAYSIE is an in-store stock control system for a chain of carpet retailers. Evolving over a number of years this system manages all the back office functions for each carpet store. Several different types of item are handled including carpets, rugs, tiles, accessories and wood.

Stock is entered into the system as it arrives from the warehouse and a variety of reports and maintenance functions allow the status of stock to be viewed in many different ways when rquired.

As stock is sold via the point-of-sale system POSIE, the datbase tables on the server are updated and new reports and other operations always reflect the real-time status of the stock situation.

This system is written in dbase IV and runs (as a DOS task) on a Windows NT server. The system is in use 8x7.
